Pole Series 1 Complete consists of two units - UPPER and LOWER.
Pole Series 1 Upper Unit
The community has been waiting for a portable, easy to use and yet rigid enough pole for making aerial panoramas using typical DSLRs in the market. Fanotec poles are easy to operate and carry. They can be extended to maximum height in minutes by pushing up and locking each telescoping section. Made of carbon fiber tubes, they are lightweight, portable and are ideal for on-the-go situations and areas not accessible to vehicle mounted units.
Fanotec poles are modular in design. Users can start up with a small module and gradually build up the height by stacking it to a larger module. Each module can be used independently (additional parts needed), creating an array of short poles with different stiffness for different applications, such as horizontal pole for cliff panoramas.
Aerial panoramic photography is ideal for tourism, festivals, surveys, construction planning, and many other applications. It provides a new, exciting perspective of landmarks and landscapes at elevated height. Obstacles no longer obstruct the view at the location.
Features and Highlights:
Thick cross-layered carbon fiber tubes for maximum rigidity and durability.
Lightweight.
Compact in size - fits most cars.
Anti-rotation system maintains rigid azimuth / yaw locking / accuracy.
Supports a large range of DSLRs.
3/8" stud and 3/8" female receiver for working with other accessories.

For help in deciding which pole best suits your needs Wim Koornneef, expert in pole panoramic photography, has shared with us images made with Pole Series 1 and 2.
Wim also shares sample scenarios for use of each series of poles (1&2) and displays poles at various extensions. Learn some great insider tips from the author as well.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES:
* Fanotec Carbon Fiber Poles conduct electricity very well. Please take extreme caution when raising and using these poles around electrical wires.
* Fanotec poles are NOT designed to be mounted onto a rigid tripod. The pole base can be damaged by the added torque generated with the use of camera and lens at full extension. Please see Tripod Adapters Type A and Type B.
Pole comparisons
NOTE:
Fanotec poles have been tested extensively by the manufacturer and experts in Pole Panoramic Photography before releasing to market. A recommended load of 2kg is determined based on ease of handling and stability of the system in gentle winds or in low light situations. Larger loading can be used at reduced extension and/ or with help of guy wire system. A robotic head with camera and lens weighing 4.2kg has been tested on Pole 3 with guy wire system attached recently. The result has been very satisfactory.
Lab tests show even our smallest carbon fiber tube is capable of withstanding extreme vertical weight loads exceeding 100kgs. As a quality assurance measure, each pole is subjected to 50kg pulling tension for over 3 hours to test the integrity of joints and locking mechanism before leaving the factory.
The maximum loading is more related to the stability of support base than to the ultimate strength of the pole. With a rigid support such as custom made car mount, the pole can handle far more than 5kg loads. A load exceeding 5kg should be tested properly before using the system in the crowd. Fanotec bears no responsibility for any injury or damage that may cause as a result of the failure of the pole and support system.
