For firmware 02114 or newer, to update it using a hot-spot, follow these steps:
1) Power MECHA ON by pressing and holding the power button for 3 seconds, on both units, then wait 45 seconds. 
2) Activate a hot-spot on a smartphone with 3g or 4g,
name: MECHA-UPDATE
pass: 87654321
3) Press the following buttons on lower MECHA
[3] [1] [2] [1] [2] [3] [◄]
to start the firmware update, then wait until it is finished.
It can take up to 5 minutes.
4) De-activate the hot-spot.
Power MECHA OFF, then ON.
