MECHA C2 Assisted by C1 in Photographing a Panorama

If you own both a C2 and a C1 MECHA Controller, you can use them together as a perfect team. In today’s video, we will show you how to use a C1 Controller to assist a C2 Controller when photographing a panorama.

An obvious advantage of using MECHA Controllers in this way is that there is no cable between the C2 – the main controller – and the camera. The shutter release cable connects the camera to the cam port of the C1 – the assistant.
If shutter or button confirmation is needed, connect the PC Sync Cable to the C1's AUX port. This video does not demonstrate the use of shutter or button confirmation.

We have already demonstrated in another video the basic steps for using a C1 Controller to assist a C2 Controller, and we recommend watching that video for more details.
MECHA C2's Plus Assistant
For your convenience, we will recap only the most important steps.

One way to use a C1 to assist a C2 is by following these steps.
1. Set both controllers to work in AP mode (as access points).
2. Then, connect the C1 controller to the C2’s Wi-Fi network. As a result, the C2’s network assigns an IP address to the C1.
3. Next, you will specify that IP address on the MECHA C2 using the +ASSISTANT option.
The C2 now recognizes the MECHA C1 as its assistant.

C2 is also known as C2+, and it commands both itself and its assistant – the +ASSISTANT –simultaneously.

Let's select a factory preset from the C2's Preset Menu: “Panorama Test Parked”. MECHA runs factory presets without prompting you to position the upper rail, so ensure it is in the parked position before pressing the center button to run it.

The C1 Controller will receive and echo any camera trigger signal sent by the C2 Controller.
