  • Cannot reach Nodal Point

With my Sony 70-200mm f4 lens the nodal point is inside the camera body and I cannot get the camera body close enough as the mounting plate knob hits the upper rotator and stops the camera getting closer to 0mm. Is there a accessory that I can used to get closer? cheers for your help

Which head do you have? For NN3/4/5, we have a T-adapter. For NN3 MK3 and NN5, you can use Arca Swiss QR system with dual clamps.
Try if the NPP is actually behind the camera, by reversing the upper rail.
For outdoor landscape with distant objects, you can ignore the NPP.

I rotated the upper arm forward as suggested and if I use the lens support mount I can get the nodal point which sits right over the upper rotator point that cannot be reached using the camera plate. However on my 85mm lens the nodal point is also at the rotator point so I cannot reach it by rotating the upper arm forward or backwards. Is there a arca-swiss plate that can be attach to the upper arm that may allow me to place the camera over the rotator or a different camera plate that can be used to slide the camera directly over the rotator?

You need to use a dual clamp to slide to any point on the rail.
