  1. Looking to add pole... suggestions

I have two tripods, one the Manfroto 190 Carbon Fiber and the other an older aluminum model. I would like to add a pole for elevation and I see you can safely do this by adding an adapter to your existing tripod. To do this your tripod's center column requires a 3/8" thread on the bottom of the center column... neither of which my tripod have. Can threaded plates be added to the bottom of a tripod for this purpose? Thanks for any suggestions.

I tried using the boards search field and only got errors, appears to not be working.

    Hey

The tripod adapter for pole exists in two versions, model A*for tripod with thread at bottom of center column and type B that is tighten on the central column itself http://shop.nodalninja.com/tripod-ad...-type-b-f7316/

Thanks Vincen, got things figured out. I have a follow-up question. When raised on a pole how are most people triggering their shutters? Long cable, IR remote...etc? Thanks!

The radio remote is most of time the most efficient and easy (IR*remote have difficulties sometimes with sun and wired remote can get cable in field of view !)
