  1. Convert NN5 for Arca Swiss camera plate?

I've found this product on the NN site:
Arca-Swiss Style Quick Release Clamp (F2105)

Does anyone know if this clamp fits the upper rail of an NN5? My goal is to use an Arca Swiss plate on my camera when mounting to the NN5, since I'm converting my other gear over to A-S and I don't yet have the money for an Ultimate M2.

This clamp is specifically designed to fit upper rail of NN3/4/5 so it'll fit perfectly and you''ll then be able to attach your camera equipped with Arca plate !

Thank you Vincen and Heinz! I now have a pretty good idea of what I'll be getting - I wish the nn.com site had a few more pictures and descriptions. Appreciate the photos! They tell the story.

What is the function of the stainless steel (?) strap or bumper on either end? Each is secured by a couple of hex screws and appears to be adjustable towards and away from the rail? It looks like these might be adjustable safety stops preventing the camera from sliding out of the clamp?

I'm guessing that the locking lever can be repositioned in it's rotation on the shaft, to allow it to tighten when it is obstructed by the rail? Without that, tightening would seem to be a problem when the clamp is rotated 90-deg on the rail for the most common orientation of an A-S plate.

    Best,
    Seth

You found by yourself the use of these ;) it's a stop to provent camera from sliding and falling if not correctly tightened !

Right again the locking lever includes a detent spring that allows you to turn it freely to reposition it easily.
