Aligning RD16 with ezleveller and tripod

Hi guys,

I'm trying to align the NN4 (RD16 attached) with tripod legs for use with the nadir adaptor. Not a problem here. However, I remember Heinz advising to align the ezleveller to the legs of the tripod.

It proves to be a problem, as it would mean that the NN4/RD16 needs to be screwed on the ezleveller and aligned between 2 points of the triangle - I have tried multiple times to get this and it seems impossible to.

While doing this, I realised that there is a black object inside the RD16 rotator's attachment hole that seems to be loose > Just checking if this is normal? It looks like a black disc with a round hole inside.

since using nadir adapter involves moving the tripod, you can turn the RD16 to a position that the detent stop is not effective and lock it. this allows you to point the lower rail in any direction.
The black plastic inside just makes assembly easier. It has no effect on the function.
