M1 & long lenses

Hi,

The upper rotator on M1 cannot support long lens, like 200 or longer. It does not have marks smaller than 7.5 degrees.

So far as I know there will be an upgrade but what exactly it will be ? Will there be new upper rotator with smaller degree marks?

I need to know to plan ahead, to go for NN5 or wait for upgrade.

M1 only have 7.5 (or multiple of 7.5) deg intervals. No other interval supported.
M2 will have a stop-less rotator with add on stops which supports as small as 1.5 deg. There are still several months to go for M2.
M2 can also serves as a gimbal head.
