I guess it is like the Nikon Mount. Can you take a shot like this one

So that I can do a detailed comparison.

In, done, clicking my heels in anticipation.. thank you....
It fits fine, snapped right into place against the raised edge.
I can even see through the range window (which I did not expect)
I haven't found my 'sweet spot' yet- alignment via panoweaver isn't right yet
but I've only been able to attempt 4 sets of shots at different settings since receiving it
(my work is about to start up for the season, I've been busy) but the best result unfortunately grabs the edge of the r-1 receiving plate making a perfect little square going around.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the confirmation. good to know it does fit.
to reduce the square foot print of QR clamp on R1, you can try reversing it. The clamp is asymmetric. reverse it so that the shorter portion is at the front. Use the hex key to loosen the screws on top of the clamp. Be careful of losing the brass safety pin and the spring inside.
