Do I remove the brass insert in the rotator mounting hole in the lower rail of my NN3 before installing the screw and cover which came with the install kit?

What in the function of the 4 small rubber "O" rings (2 thick and 2 thin) and 1/4 to 3/8 threaded insert which came with the install kit?

    Thank you

    Martin,

Yes, you have to take out the brass insert because the black adapter plate would rest on it. I will set up another set of pics for NN3 MKII on RD8 / RD16 Rotator. The set right now is for use with Quick Mount Mini System. Instead of placing the black Adapter Plate on top of QMM Clamp place it on Top of RD8 Rotator. Rest is the same.

The 1/4 to 3/8 " Adapter Screw is used at the Bottom of RD8 RD16 Rotator in case your tripod has a 1/4" screw on top of the tripod. I suppose the rubber rings are used on mounting screw on upper rail. Big ring on knob, insert knob to upper rail, small ring on the rest of the thread on other side of rail.

You get all the spare parts from RD8/16. Rubber rings are for the plunger and tightening knobs.
