I'm looking to buy a tripod for use with "Tripod Adapter Type A".

What is the best tripod for use with the "Tripod Pole Adapter Type A" and "Pole Series 2 Complete".

    Camera: 5D Mark II
    Lens: Canon 8 - 15 mm
    Nodal: R1

Well the first thing is to find some tripods that have a thread at bottom of central column ;) Here I advise Benro and their aluminium or carbon series (A-057/058/157/158/257/258), not sure you can find them easily in Brazil.

I have 2 Gitzo tripods. They have 3/8" thread at center column. You'd better visit some shops to check it out yourself.
If in doubt, get the tripod adapter Type B. Most tripod has 28mm center column.

    Hi,

there are ssome manfrotto models too:

    http://www.manfrotto.de/carbon-stativ-3-segmente-055CX3

You can as well use 055XDB, 190CX3. 190 series is not as high as 055. You have to be sure to get a model with a center column that uses an adapter at the end with the 3/8"screw.

http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/...pdf?1328225290 look to the right side for the center column.

Thjis is how the bottom part does look like: screw at top plate http://mediacdn.shopatron.com/media/...pdf?1328225290

BTW: as Nick mentioned: in case you cannot find a tripod with center column with 3/8" screw at the bottom, use Tripod Adapter Type B. The top part comes with an insert which has to be used for Pole1 and Upper Unit Pole 2. To be able to use Lower Unit Pole 2 Series, you have to take out the insert by pressing it together at the bottom part with the smaller rim. Re install by pressing it together and then place it back in again. To slide Pole1/ Pole2 upper unit through the top part of the adapter with insert placed, you have to remove the metal base part from the poles, slide pole into top part of adapter and re fix it to pole.

    Hello,

I want to use a Fanotec Pole Series 2 "complete set" up to
the max height of 6 meters.

I want to use it with a not too expensive tripod.

    I understand I must buy a tripod adapter (A or B?)

But hat are the recommended tripods ?
    and which tripod adapter ?

I live in Holland, so there are really a lot tripods available!

    Hi,

http://www.cameranu.nl/nl/statieven-...7677/#tab-tbSP It works with Tripod Adapter Type B with 28mm insert to be fixed to Manfrotto center column. This is a steady nice working tripod. Cameranu.nl is the best equipped NL Reseller at the moment. Have a look to >Statieven >Nodal Ninja or >Fanotec Pole

You can send me an IM with your email and I send you my mobile number to discuss some things. Or you visit me in Den Haag if you are not too far away to test and see differences between different tripods and the whole pole system. Besides R1 panohead and NN3 up to M1-L.

    Feel free to ask.
