  1. Pentax 645D on M1-L ?

    #1

    Hey,

I'd like to know if some people got opportunity to use Pentax 645D to shoot panos ? and if so will it fit on M1-L ? I plan to use 645D with Pentax lens 35mm or 25mm (35mm looks pretty lengthy and not sure it'll fit on upper rail).

    Thanks for your feedback,

I have the feeling that it will fit with MFR-210 as the upper rail.

    ok I'll bite.....
Yes the Pentax 645D will fit just fine on the M1 - in fact it will fit fine on the NN4 as well if you don't use lenses that are too long (35mm and 25mm are fine). The 645D is very lightweight with its Magnesium alloy body (approx. 1480 g or 52.2 oz.) but does have larger body base so flat arca plate must be used. Also the 645D has .75 crop factor which is great for wider angled lenses. If you hold on a couple of months I might know someone who might be selling theirs :-).

I expect to use it with 25mm for panoramas :) For flat arca plate it means you can use only U1, not U1-G on it ;)

0.75 really ? it means 25mm lens would be 18.75mm on it, cool :) hum might be interested by the guy selling his one, let me know ;)
