The R1/R10 Zenith/Nadir Adapter: http://store.nodalninja.com/index.ph...or-r1-r10.html lists a Lock Ring Size as 24 25 26 or 28 mm. Where is that lock ring in the photos and and what determines the required lock ring size?

The lock ring is supposed to be installed on central column of your tripod to remember height of it when you are shooting your panoramas and then shooting nadir so you keep same relative height :) So you have to measure diameter of central column of your tripod to get correct ring :)
