Will an NN5 vertical arm fit on an NN3 lower arm and can I put the NN3 tilt arm on the vertical arm?
In other words, I want a longer vertical arm on my NN3.
I have a wild idea that a longer vertical arm will reduce the footprint. Just thinking ....

no. NN3 parts and NN5 parts are not compatible.
NN rotators do not have much larger footprint than most tripods.
