Vincen,
Another great shot. You live in a nice area. I like the opening part very much, impressive mountainside, blue sky, lighted and shadowed areas, very good place. Did you uses bracketing?
Turning around 180°, wow, my first thought was:"looks a bit like great canyon". Big rocks departed by deep valleys. Interesting zooming in, the villages near by and those deeper in the valleys, the view through the clouds, brilliant.
You know to be at a great place in the right moment.
And a very good demonstration of the 14-24 Nikkor lens. Though taking some more time to shoot, it offers a great result compared to 4 or 6 around. One of my favorites too. Because this is the pre-opening of the winter season we are eager to see the next shots of the coming winter.
Thx for sharing Vincen.
Best regards,
Heinz
yep it was a really nice day, clear sky (as weather was snowy previous days), sunny, just a little windy, had to be careful for that pano as just near the border of the cliffI installed the tripod nearest of border as I wanted to be able to see in pano the cliff !
no bracketing (that's definitively something I need to learn really when I have a little time, next century probably
I'll probably return there during winter with bigger lens to shoot gigapixel panorama (with 70-200 for example
Well I had to walk half an hour to arrive there ! ski resort was only open with two lifts, and lift just behind is not yet finished (they need yet to install chairs and do tests, won't be open before 2/3 weeks) so I had to walk up from other lift you see down :blushing:
Yep I'm definitively in love with that lens, it's so clear and crisp :) Used at 24mm for that pano and f/16 and 30 shots around is not so much, it goes fast when all is setup in advance
Few more in the pipe soon
Thanks for your comments,
Vincèn

Ready to unload from chairlift ? First try done in rush during hydraulic failure of the chairlift :D so few stitching errors and exposure not so good :( I'll reshoot it tomorrow probably if I can get one chair full of people ready to unload, stop chairlift and shoot !
