Thanks for the heads up about the NN R1. Yes I did leave this comment in Panoguide

A Canon 5dm1 with a Sigma 8mm and manfrotto 488RC2 ball head, AND the NN R1 we typically takes 4 images at 90° around the horizon. Click stops 1,2,3,4.

On the 4th click stop would you rotate -90 to take the nadir image ?? Or continue to click through to Click stop 1?

I think PTgui stitching behaves better if the zenith is taken on click stop 4. Same for nadir?

Also do you set the NN R1 tilt to a +5° to get it level with the ground?

Hi,

I always take Zenith and Nadir at position of shot 1.

Most of the time I want to take a pano as quick as possible, I use Nikkor 10.5 shaved for FX. I get a better quality with this lens. FOV is around 190° at 0°. I needed I can do without a Zenith. But my goal is always to get a zenith and nadir as well.

Being afraid of horizon connection you can take an extra shot or the whole set at +5°.

If you are interested, go to my fisheye lens comparison test. You find the Sigma 8mm/f3.5 in the second set. Both on DX and FX bodies.
