Settings for Ultimate R10 - Nikon D200 + Sigma 8mm 3.5 :confused1::confused1::confused1:

Can someone please help me with the settings for this configuration. For FIRST successful efforts I will send a $25 amazon card.

#1 where the camera should be mounted on the rail.

#2 what the focus settings should be on the camera.
-----If we set it to infinity and turn to manual mode, some of our pano angles come out blurry, if we leave it in automatic mode the lens tries to spin and does so, however I believe this is putting a great deal of stress on our camera/lens motor.

The settings should be same regardless of camera. But since you are using the D200 with DX sensor (1.5 crop factor) you should have the 7.5 degree tilt.
Camera settings - put all on manual and set focus for mid point in scene. Having f/8 aperture will ensure good depth of field. Never set to infinity - if shooting long distance a little back from infinity is ideal - some lenses will actually focus beyond infinity. You'll have to run test shots before hand to determine what works best for the scene - the D200 allows for zoom on preview.
