I am considering purchasing A NN3 and wonder if anyone has any experience of using it with a Nikon D90 with the AF-S DX Nikkor 10-24mm F3.5-4.5G ED lens? I really cannot stretch to a NN5, but I am not sure if the NN3 is large enough (I want to try doing some 360-deg shots just for fun).
Can anyone advise me of any problems I may face with this set-up.
I came across a problem for nikkor 17-55/f2.8 NN3. The upper rail is too short for zoom 17/20.
I did not test your lens. I had a look to an old lens database. Nikkor 12-24 has an NPP zoom 12 at 106. This would work with the long side to the lens mounted camera plate. If your lens needs a setting >106 at zoom 10, it might be that you only can begin with zoom 12 or even 15.
LRS for D90 is 56/NN3
Zoom 12 needs 2 rows, zoom 15 3rows.
Hint: ask your dealer to get the NN3 as trial version for a day to test it with your camera lens combination, or ask for a money back version.
Feel free to ask again when you tested and you stay with problems. May be you can use an adaptor. If it works I can work out your spherical settings when you report your NPP settings to us.
