  1. Best set ? Nikon D300S with Nikkor 10.5 or Canon 7D with Sigma 8mm ?

Hello, I'm just starting in 360VR Photography. Which DSLR is the best set or should I go ?
My doubt is between the Canon 7D or the Nikon D300S ?
I was almost decided to go for the Nikon D300S with Nikkor 10.5.

But after reading a lot of reviews and watching some Full HD videos made with the Canon 7D I'm changing my decision for Canon.
I'm just not sure which lens should I take. I've read old posts and didn't got a decision. I'm arriving in NYC next Monday, so any help will be greatly appreciated !

I will shoot mainly spherical, 360x180, real estate virtual tours. I want to take less shots as possible, because in the future I will start shooting other subjects in crowded areas.

If I decide for the Nikon I will take the Nikkor 10.5.

But for the Canon 7D which lens should I go ?
    Sigma 8mm
    Tokina 10-17mm
    Canon 10-22mm

For the pano head I ordered a NN5 with RD16.
For the tripod I will take a Manfrotto 055CXPRO4.

Thank you very much for your attention !
    Toni

    for both 7D and D300s,

    sigma 8mm needs a least 4-5 shots

Nikon 10.5 or Tokina 10-17mm or Sigma 10mm needs at least 8 shots.

Canon 10-22mm will need 14 shots.

    Hi Toni,

don't forget an EZ-Leveller II and mount it directly to the tripod. If you have the new manfrotto basket, you can remove the complete NN5, wrap it into a big peace of cloth and it will find its place in the wider top of the basket unmounted.
I feel very comfortable with this combination.

Just had a discussion with my dealer about the video function both in nikon's and canon cameras. On the web they look very good, but in reality are problems with autofocus etc. Right now, i would prefer to base my decision on the camera functions and not on a nice video on the web.

Just testing the Sigma 8mm/f3.5 on the D3. I am very surprised of the noise in higher ISO. Really bad on ISO 1250, something i did not expect cause normally i can shoot at ISO 3600 without any problems. I will test this at the weekend by going through the ISO.

Does anybody have same experience with the Sigma at higher ISO as well?
