I have been doing panos now since bought my nn5 3 months ago. interestingly, and silly me, its impossible to line i up wave action in panos even if the waves are very small . you live and learn

Do you shot well in manual mode ? all exposures and focus in manual mode and setup once for all pano shots ? no change between shots ?

    Hi,

it is always the same problem with waves, specially when you need longer exposures. With an overlap of 30 % you can try to get them fixed together in photoshop with brush tool and different transparencies. Take off a little bit of both sides to fix it together.

This really takes time. Might be, you would have been better off using a higher ISO to get shorter times to shoot the picture, then there is not such a great difference in the waves.

    Success

That's why you have waves that way, keep exact same settings for everything between each shot

    Hello donnnnnny,

I agree that waves can be a problem but don't let it put you off!

I don't know whether my technique would be considered "proper", but this panorama was made by shooting quickly with a 50% overlap (I note what is at the centre of the image then the next image has this feature at the extreme left of the viewfinder) and stitched in PanoramaStudio (http://www.tshsoft.de/en/index.html).
