NN3 and D700

JUst a simple question : Does anybody knows what is the Tripod Mount Height (Facing the camera, the distance from the base of the camera to the center of the lens) for a D700 Nikon, Thanks a lot.

sorry do not understand your question. Distance from the ground below your camera to lens center, so do you want to know what sort of tripod you should use and which height it should have??

Sorry, no I just need the exact distance from the sole of the D 700 to the center of the lens. The distance "h" from the photo I joined.

Hi,

what you can do to measure it yourself is to measure from the bottom of the body to the small pin besides the lens release knob on the lens flange, which means the metal surface where you connect the lens to.

This will tell you the hight to the center of the lens.

I can not measure it for you cause i do not own a D700.

I hope this helps a little bit.
