Newbie in a rush to learn...

I just got a MKII w/Rotator R-D8 today and I'm leaving for a holiday trip on Saturday. I have to learn how to use this device in a very short period of time. I'll be doing 360 deg. shots on my trip, and I wanted to have some tips from guys on how to use it properly. I have several questions here that maybe you could help me with...


1) How many degrees is the ideal shot to take on each frame?

2) Things to avoid when when taking pictures in a crowded scene, night shots.....?

3) Some tips......

I could learn the stitching later when I come back.

I use a Nikon d60 + Nikkor 10.5mm fisheye. I was looking at the camera setting guide of nodal ninja site and I did not see the number guide for a d60. Is it the same as for a d40?
