Assembling old Nodal Ninja 3 on a new R-D16 rotator

I purchased a new R-D16 rotator to upgrade my older Nodal Ninja 3. The kit came with two small, clear/whitish o-rings. Where do those o-rings go:
on the two plastic stubs on the adapter plate which then insert into the 2 holes in the top of the R-D16 rotator, or
in the two holes in the plastic adapter plate that the brass pins in the horizontal arm then insert into?

those o-rings go to the pan lock knob and detent plunger knob. They are spare parts for RD16.
