Michel Thoby find the NPP for 2 shots, 3 shots and 4 shots around for Canon 5D.

However, you will need 6 shots around. You can find the NPP easily by following this tutorial

I guess the NPP is around the gold ring.

Hello Jack,
I would guess that the Samyang 8mm is very similar in geometry to the Sigma 8mm (http://www.hugha.co.uk/NodalPoint/Index.htm) and would go for between 15 and 18 mm back from the very front of the lens.
The gold ring is probably the best bet, certainly a good starting point.

I own a canon 500d and a nodal ninja plus a Samyang 8mm lens but I still cant find the nodal point I thought it would be around the sigma 8m mark any help

The NPP for 6 shots should be 1-2mm behind that for 4 shots.

Michel labeled the NPP on the lens. This is regardless of camera.
