Hi. I'm looking to investigate what users here have found to be the optimal settings for the NN3 with the Nikon D300 and the Tokina 11mm.
I tried the Tokina 12mm recommended settings of 50 and 97, but that stitching alignment is off.

So far, the best results I've come up with, ironically, is that the exact settings for the Nikon 10.5 fisheye also gets the best stitching with the Tokina 11mm on the D300.
I've got the same question as well, using the D300s. Haven't tried using the settings of the Nikon 10.5 yet but i'll give it a shot.
The best settings to use are the ones that you measure yourself. It's not at all difficult and it's really worthwhile learning how to do it. Various techniques can be used, including those described at the following links:

Don't assume that stitching errors in a panorama are necessarily due to poor panorama head setup. The cause is often down to the stitcher and the person controlling it!
