    Hello,

I've got a question, I can't get the settings right for my 10.5mm fisheye in combination with my new D700 in DX mode.
It is a new camera because my old D70 died so I needed a new one

Can you guys here help me with settings for the D700?

    Thanks and regards

Is it the same body shell as the D90? If so you can use the settings from that camera on the Nodal Ninja camera settings page. If not you can easily find them yourself using the excellent guide from John Houghton: http://www.johnhpanos.com/epcalib.htm

Sure, use the link in the previous post. It's easy to set the unit up yourself.

    Hi guys,

try to use 86 mm for upper rail setting. This is the setting for nikon bodies with a distance tripod mount to lens flange with 40mm. Till now i could not measure this distance for the D700. When it is 40mm, you can use all the settings of D200 D300 D3. Try to measure and please tell me.

Set the camera/lens so that the Gold Ring on the Nikon 10.5mm lens is coincident with the axis of rotation.
This setting is correct for the Nikon 10.5mm lens irrespective of the camera body.

This page may be of interest.

I would suggest you to use FX mode. Even with "vignetting" due to lens hood, you still get bigger angle of view. The stitcher should remove the image of hood automatically in the final pano.
To get the full potential of Nikon 10.5mm on FX, you should shave the lens hood.
