Rail positions for D200 with battery pack

I just purchased a battery pack for the D200 and was wondering what the rails settings should be?

Just add the height of the battery to the original lower rail setting. YOu can measure it by a ruler.

You can also get this value from the Nikon website in the specs section for the battery pack.

Also, don't forget you can always check the position by rotating the camera upper arm so the camera is pointing straight down onto the lower arm. Look through the viewfinder and adjust the lower rail until the centerpoint of the rotator axis is sitting SB in the center of the viewfinder. This is easier to do of course with a camera that has either live view or HDMI output.
