NN3 on Manfrotto 055XDB

Hello,
I got Manfrotto 055XDB + 804RC2 head. is it rcommended to mount NN3 on that head to shoot panoramas or just on the legs? My Camera is Nikkon D90 + Nikkor 10.5mm

This is always personal choice...
I mount directly on my 055ProB legs ... others use an ez-leveller...others still use a ball or three way head.

Some much prefer a joystick type head as it gives a smaller footprint to eliminate.

Try what you have and try without... to see what your own problems are that need solving.

Using a wide angle lens like the 10.5 those adjust arms on the Manfrotto 804RC2 will get in the way.
Consider mounting the Nodal Ninja directly to the neck. Or if you need a ball head I like the Manfrotto 3265 vertical hand grip because it has a very small footprint.
