Is there anyway to mount the rectangular bogen plate to the NN3 or vice versa.
The issue is I use the bogen (i think it's the RC2) QR plate and switching between the quick release and the NN3 plate is a huge hassle.
Alternately what is my cheapest option for a QR mount for both NN3 and tripod?

if your QR is similar to manfrotto 323, you can use our new rail plate

you need to mount the QR plate in the direction of lens axis so that the safety lock on the clamp is placed outside the rail plate. See the sample set up.

Does the QRC2 require a mounting plate to fit it to the nn arm or is the fit incorporated in the design?
Does the QRP2 also fit a manfrotto quick release?

I have this clamp and plate (plate shown on top of clamp).
If I buy this, I mount this to the nodal ninja, and use my existing plates.

Then I can use just the one plate on my camera for both standard tripod shots on my tripod, and panoramics on the NN3?
If this is correct, I'll be ordering the QRC2 clamp in the next day or so. Perfect solution for me, and I can use my existing clamp and an extra QR plate to mount the nodal NN3 to the tripod. Best of all worlds and no wasted parts!

I posted a thread regarding the use of a Manfrotto quick release on the NN3+MKII some time back (http://nodalninja.com/forum/index.php?topic=377.0), and I'm sorry to say I'm still not clear on what the correct solution to mounting my camera should be.
I use a Camdapter hand strap (http://www.camdapter.com/product_manfrotto_plus.html) on my D300, which uses a Manfrotto style quick release plate with a lip at the rear to prevent unwanted rotation. Because of that lip, mounting the Manfrotto 323 at 90 degrees to the NN3 top rail is not a workable option.
I guess what I'm asking is:
Whether your QRC2 will mount to my top rail and work with the Camdapter quick release plate mounted on my camera in the correct orientation?
OR
I should order your RP1-38 plus the Manfrotto 323 adapter? (Will the lever hub or the locking pin interfere with the NN3 top rail?)

In lever version with the integrated rail plate that can be mounted in either direction, parallel or at 90deg to the upper rail?

Lever version is much more challenging. We need to work around some patents in existing designs.

with my camera setup (olympus e510 with 12-60mm lens), I was able to mount the quick release plate directly to the rail arm. This worked for me becauise my camera needed to be back far enough on the rail that the clamp release was at the end of the rail and not on top of it. This would not work with a smaller lens, but I don't see why I couldn't mount it directly to the NN plate.
