WWII Bombers

Hey guys, haven't posted in a while, been busy shooting for clients (I guess that's good!)

Anyway, here are some fun panos I shot the other day in Manchester, NH.

The Collings Foundation restores WWII aircraft and flies them around the country (great to see these beauties still flying!)

(yes, I crawled under the cockpit through that little tunnel to get into the nose)

Hello Kirk,

That's a nice set of panos from planes that once where in action. I could be wrong but I think I saw a few repaired bullet wholes.

Did you speak some veterans there who once fly those birds ?

There were veterans sitting under the wings, talking about their experiences during the war, and about flying in the different aircraft.

In the B17engine shot, there's a guy sitting by the ball turret. He was relaying his experiences during the war.

I need to get a voice recorder, so I can record some audio while shooting the panoramics, it would have been great to record some of what the veteran was saying.

Those guys are part of living historie and within 15 year no veteran of WWII will be alive.....

Get an H2 Zoom sound recorder, or use the movie setting on your G9 to record sound.

well done - I always enjoy aircraft panos. Lighting and exposure is a challenge that you seem to have tackled well.
