What does "Detent rings can be disabled on the fly without any tool" mean?
I'm getting the hang of using my NN4 but came across this statement in the user manual.
"Detent rings can be disabled on the fly without any tool"
Does that mean that I can have a "smooth-non-stopping point" rotation around the base and just use the marks by "eyeball" in some way?
I have ONE longer lens that I'd like to try and use the NN4 with; it's a 135mm with a FOV in the vertical orientation of 10.2 and so the default detent stops of 10 degrees won't cut it.
Just a thought, aren't there detent rings for the NN4 that have 5 deg stops that would work for this FOV?
