To UV lens or not to UV lens
Anyone have any thoughts on the benefits or downside to using UV lens for their pano's?
Thanks

I have High quality Uv filters fitted to most of my lenses, They are for protection only. However I would not use them on fisheye lenses where they can cause problems,

use a high quality (multi-coated) UV filter which is thin enough not to cause vignetting.
cons: protect from dirt, dust, rain and impact.
cons: cause flare or loss of contrast in some situation

more glass = more flare potential. This is always a challenge when shooting 360's outdoors with the sun in view.
