Some advise needed

Hello everybody,

I bought the Nodal Ninja 5 with RD16 rotator, and I need some advise about a couple qeustions because this is something new for me.
Software, PTgui and pano2VR

Hardware Sony A700 16-80 CZ

I want to make 360 degree pictures.

1) If I want to photograph room settings, is it the best to stand in the middle or doesn't it matter?
2) How many overlap do I need in each picture.
3) Does anybody know some good books I can buy.

You should stand slightly closer to the focal point in the room. So, if it's an ornate fireplace then stand a little closer to that.

The skills involved in taking a single photograph apply to panoramic photography. You have to pick a scene that is interesting not just in one direction, but in every direction. Look up and down. If there is nothing to see looking down, pick another spot. When picking a spot, imaging how you are going to present your panorama. What is the opening scene going to look like? That is your focal point. Think of a panorama as a single still photograph that just happens to allow you to look around. When you are creating your panorama, the software you use should allow you to define what the user is going to see for the first time when they open your panorama. 1st impressions are very important. Don't just document a scene (well, most of the time, don't just document). Pick a place that is interesting. Same thing applies to photographing a room. Move around. If the very center of the room is the best place, then take the panorama there.

The book I will try to order in a local book shop, if that is not possible I will order it at the website.

Yesterday I made my first panorama test outside, the NN5 works great, I hope I'll upload the file right
