Just Getting Started (pano head + hdr)
Hello- I am new to taking pano images and currently own a Canon Powershot SX10 :001_smile: I know pretty cheesy camera but I hope to upgrade to the Canon 5D.
My question is which Ninja would be the best to use with my current camera and then use with the new camera I hope to get?
My goal is to use these images in conjunction with the 3D software I use in my profession to creating HDR images for lighting.
Thank you so much for your response and help!
BTW Here is a website I am putting together to showcase some of my work:

NN3 will for for SX10. NN5 will be better suited for 5D.

Having in mind to step to a 5D MKII:
To save money I would go for a NN5, specially taking about longer lenses as well. I do not dare to use my D3 on NN3. So I wouldn't with a 5D.
BTW: very nice "Showcase"

Thank you! :001_smile:
I was all fired up to order the items and get them in 2-3 days with shipping and then noticed that the shop is closed until the 20th due to the Pano Event.
Now I must wait a little longer!!
i must say in searching these forums and website that there is a ton of info and knowledge available for the learning!! Great work by all who have contributed....

This makes the difference with NN . And you will be happier once you used it.
Have a look to the "new product on announcements" being presented in Tuscon this afternoon. I am eager to see the new products.
Waiting, you might read this: http://www.johnhpanos.com/epcalib.htm

Software: PTGui and Pano2vr, or Autopanogiga, Photomatix Pro or EnfuseGui for HDRI, DxO for another workflow. They are available as trial versions. Plus photoshop anyway, alpha mask, luminosity mask, etc.
Others as well, but I am a mac user. Some PC users use panoweaver and Tour.
If I might recommend, I would start with PTGui. This software helps you a lot to learn about controlpoints, corrections like view point etc. Plus a lot of tutorials. APG does a lot of things on its own without "asking you to learn".
Just test the trial versions.
Feel free to ask. I think there will be always somebody to answer your question.
