D3s with a 14-24 mm 2.8 lens Rail Settings.

I am having a bugger of a time trying to find these out. I am close but no sense reinventing the wheel if someone else has them. If not I got about an hour left to get mine nailed in and its dark now so there is always tomorrow. :sad:

PS. I think the D3 and the D3s are the same measurements if someone has them for the D3....

OK, So I just learned how to, I guess bang my head against the wall, and found them under camera setting on the first page of the NN website. Silly Me and ignore this posting. :sad:

Here is the data. Add +90° for Z and -90° twice, one normal, one with the new adaptor turned out.

Before that I had tried your settings, with more success than those on the NN website, but didn't keep a note of them.

NIKKOR 14-24/F2.8 D3 NN5 LRS 89 my personal findings:

Zoom 14: 122
15: 121
16: 118
18: 114
20: 113
24: 112

Hope it helps, for me these settings stitched successfully. Zoom 14 -16 : 2 rows 45° - 8 stops, 18 - 20 : 3 rows 18@45°, 20 24 @36°-10 stops. I always calculate overlap with around 30%.

Here are my settings that works fine for D3 (same body as D3S) with 14/24 on NN5 with QRS2:

89 for lower rail

at 24mm: 112mm

one zenith shot, one row at +47.5º, one row at +2.5º, one row at -42.5º (10 shots at 36º each for each row)
two nadir shots with nadir adapter, and it all stitches perfectly fine :D

this is my addition. I have to confess, -25° picks the last segment of my tripod leg. So I am trying to avoid this masking work. I have to raise to -15° to get rid of it. And then I have to test how the nadir will stitch to this. I have the sequence, but had no time to try the stitch. I will let you know about this.

So far this works fine for me.
