Nikon D90 camera settings for "no parallax point"

Hello everyone,

I just ordered the NN5 and am really looking forward to using it.

I noticed that the Nikon D90 is not listed in the "Camera settings" link. I understand the process to find the "no parallax point" is straightforward, but I'd be interested if anyone has settings for the D90 with either the Nikon 10.5mm or the 18-200mm VR lens for the NN5. This would help me as a starting point and also confiirm my own results.

Hi Dave,

I'm just setting up my D90 on my brand new NN5 and so far the numbers I've got are 54 for the lower rail and 80 for the upper, with a 18-105 nikkor lens set at 18mm.

I still have to make final adjustments but we may compare numbers

Should have said 90 for the upper rail

Here's my final numbers so far:
D90 with Nikkor 18-105 lens
NN5 with R8

Lower Rail: 55
Upper Rail: 99

Will complete test with a full stitch later to confirm

I tried to calibrate NN5 for 50mm (actually 52mm according to the EXIF, the dot should be between 5 and 0) and got around 77-76mm for the upper rail.

Also, it seems to me that the lower rail should be ~52mm not 55mm.

Upper arm is about 99mm for 18mm.

If any one has better numbers please contribute.

So to recap:
Nikon D90 with 18-105, NN5
lens @ 52mm:
upper rail: 76-77mm

I tested the 52/99 setting for lower/upper rail on my D90 with 18-105 lens, at 18mm
Seems to be working nicely so far

Anybody uses the D90 with

Nikon 10.5 and/or Nikon 17-35mm?
I tried to find the settings but i have no success. Would be great if anybody can help me.
