Any advice for which model to buy to use with a Canon 5D which is fitted with the BG-E4 battery grip?
I will be using either the 24-105L or 24-70L zoom lenses, the latter being considerably heavier.
Thanks.

Get the NN5 and you will be happy.

Thanks Nick, looking at the website the only "5" model currently on sale is the NN5L with the NN5 coming on sale mid 2008, however the Max Lyons review, which is a few months old, is for a NN5 - how can this be, did he have a pre-production unit?
Thanks Nick, one NN5L ordered from UK supplier!

Why would you use a batterygrip ?
The 5D can handle a lot of shots with one battery.
So in my opinion it's a waist of weight and extra flex.
??
The camera is used for other types of photography other than panoramas so I need the extra battery power. It's much easier to leave the battery grip on, so for my circumstances it's not a waste if the NN5 can handle the extra size and weight.
