  • Nikon D70/D300 with Nikon 24mm and 50mm

    Hi,

does anyone have the settings for a Nikon D70/D300 with
    a Nikon 24mm/f2.8 and Nikon 50mm/f1.4?

How many pictures do I have to take with these two lenses
    to make a spherical panorama?

    Regards,
    Chris

    use this calculator

at 24mm, you need 5x15 images
I can't imagine using 50mm for spgerical pano!

Instead of 75 images, you could as a minimum try 3 rows of 12 (at pitch -45,0,+45), plus two zeniths at rightangles and two nadirs at right angles = 40 in total. This works with dummy images in PTGui's Panorama Editor window. There can be problems finding features for control points in some areas, but the accuracy of the NN5 settings can help to overcome those.

        Hi John,

thanks a lot. I have tried that in PTGui, works fine and
I got the same result, 40 images.
