  • Camera settings for Canon EOS 600D

Hi guys, I am new to the world of panoramic photography. I've just invested in a Canon EOS 600D and a Sigma 8mm f3.5 EX DG circular fisheye lens. I was wondering what the settings are for set up with the NN4, any responses would be greatly appreciated.

      Hello Adam,

A good place to start is to align the gold ring with the horizontal rotation axis (i.e. top arm) or possibly a couple of mm towards the front of the lens from the gold ring.

The diagram on http://hugha.co.uk/NodalPoint/Index.htm#Sigma 8mm shows where the incoming rays meet the principal ray and it is usually best to select the NPP for the angle that the "join" is between shots (e.g. 45 for 4 shots round, 30 for 6 shots round).

Note that it is the lens that the NPP applies to, not the camera body.
