  • Which arca swiss plates do I need?

Hello, I'm debating between the NN3 and 4 but I think I'm leaning towards the NN3. I don't think I'll be shooting panos with longer lenses than 100mm.

My main question is which arca swiss plates do I need to buy and can any arca swiss quick release be fixed to the NN3? Any extra parts or screws needed? To give some context, I have a RRS panning head which has a quick release and my cameras have an arca swiss plate and I have an extra quick release lying around.

    Thanks!

you can mount this clamp to the upper rail.
If you want to use the RRS panning head, you can buy the NN3 No Lower rotator package. Lower rail has 3/8" socket, you can mount a QR plate to it, via 1/4"-3/8" adapter.

Thanks for the heads up! I have a Kirk quick release somewhere. Does it have to be that exact clamp or can any clamp easily mount to the upper rail. Also, where would I find a 1/4" to 3/8" adapter? Sorry for the rookie questions, thank you!

If you have Kirk Clamp, you can mount it to the camera plate directly and use it on the upper rail.

If you want to mount a plate with 1/4" screw to the lower rail directly, you may use this adapter
