  • egginer question - Panasonic FZ-38 for spherical panoramas

I am a totally beginner in the world of panoramic photography...
I have a Panasonic FZ-38 and one friend gave me his NN3 MKII... i want to ask if it's possible with this combination to take spherical panoramas..

    Thank you

Yes it is possible. You have to find out the Upper and Lower Rail Settings.

For LRS = Lower Rail Setting measure H of your camera. Add 13mm for offset of NN3 and use this to test the settings with Smooth's method. This will give you an exact result. In the beginning you can also focus Nodal Ninja Logo by moving the camera down to -90. But to fine tune, I'd use Smooth's Method.

You have to find the settings on your own because you do not use one of the favorite bodies.

You have to use a special set up of the tripod. The workflow is the same with NN3.

Set WB, ISO, Focus and Aperture to manual. For the best use f/8. Use hyperfocal distance for focussing.

This will get you on the road for your first trip.

    Feel free to ask.

        Hello again.
        I have another question. I want to ask if nikon d5100 it's compatible with NN3 and which lens is better for panoramia..."Nikon 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 G AF-S DX VR" or "Nikon | 18-105mm AF-S DX f3.5-5.6 G ED VR ".
