  • Sony NEX-5/7 info about L-bracket, tripod adapter, NEX-7 Review and universal L-Bracket for Micro4/3

    Hi guys,

just found this on panoguide forum. Had a look to the accessories website as well. Interesting for all those who look for a plate and do not use a NN lens Ring:

Think some of us will like this info.

    Cheers,

Fanotec is about to release a camera plate for Nex5, which is presumably 5N compatible. Better looking than Jtec. :-)

Is it going to be Arca Swiss compatible?Or is it a plain old screw mount? Is it going to be compatible with the NN3? Will it give enough height for fat lens clearance?

it is Arca Swiss compatible. With extra height of QR clamp, it should be fine with most lenses.

For a regular camera plate, we will make a some CP2 with Heinz's mod for Nex5. I think that is the most economical way for us.

Just make a shorter top plate for the CP2. That should work. With an adjustment range of 1cm that should be enough for all small cameras.

I won't have any use for an Arca Swiss compatible NEX 5 plate however....
