Hello,

I was wondering if there was anyone out there that knew the correct settings for the nodal ninja paired with a Nikon D5100 and a Peleng 8mm lens. I have been trying to do an indoor shoot of a condo I own but can not for the life of me find the correct settings. I've tried to go to quick links/camera settings and have tried d40, d70, d80 settings as well as the d300 settings and none have worked. Thanks in advance if you're able to help! :001_smile:

. . . and none have worked.
Just how are you checking whether the settings work or not? What you should be checking for is parallax, which the settings are intended to eliminate. If you are just relying on the appearance of stitching errors in test panoramas, then it's possible that the stitching errors are due to poor stitching techniques rather than parallax errors. Your equipment can be set up easily and painlessly in 5-10 minutes, without even taking any photographs or looking through the viewfinder. See: http://www.johnhpanos.com/epcalib.htm .

Hi,

http://www.easypano.com/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=1&TopicID=4162 this is to test your LRS.

D5100 has a different body and tripod mount screw socket compared to other Nikons. Can only be compared to D3100.

I tested my D5100 NN3 MKII LRS = 45 mm with Nadir Adapter, and 51mm without Nadir Adapter.

http://wiki.panotools.org/Entrance_Pupil_Database I measured L1 for D5100 = 35mm. L1 = 35mm + L2 = 44 mm From Wiki List, I can not tets this, URS should be around 79mm.

Always test settings with your own equipment.

Feel free to ask.

Heinz

Hi John and Heinz!

Thank you so much for that information! I am a newbie at this but after reading John H Panos' page and then the measurements Heinz gave, I got perfect panos :) Thank you again!
