View Full Version : NN5 L Nikon D3s and 16mm Fisheye Settings

Previously I used my NN5 with a D200 and Sigma 10-20mm.

Now I shoot with a D3s and have recently purchased a Nikon 16mm 2.8 Fisheye lens for shooting VR. With the arm set to -15 I can shoot 6 images and one Z to fill the hole. I was looking around for peoples settings but in the end used a method on another site to try and fine tune.

I am currently using:-
Bottom Arm - 89mm
Top Arm - 66mm

I have the normal NN5 camera mount.

Anyone else using the same set-up with the same of different settings?

A simple search of these forums brought up this thread: http://tinyurl.com/7m4wwyw with similar settings to yours, viz. 89 and 68. The correct settings are the ones that work for you!

LRS = Lower Rail Setting 89 is the setting to use for D3x bodies. URS = Upper Rail Setting I use with D3 is 68.
