Will the vertical arm of NN3 fit the horizontal arm of the NN180?

Weird question I know. Just had a wild idea that fitting the vertical and tilt arm of NN3 on to the base (horizontal) arm of the NN180 would make a simpler, lighter pano head.

Is the channel width of the NN180 the same width as the base of the vertical arm on the NN3?
