Hey,
I was thinking of a new accessory missing (well at least for me ). I'd like to be able to use my Ultimate R1 attached on a metallic bar so I would need something like a gorillapod but more robust probably two grips in metal linked together by a bar and including on top 3/8" screw so I can screw on it my R1 ! What do you think about it ? Do you understand what I mean ?

Right but something less big and more large with perhaps two grips to allow easier fix and better stability :)

Nope, really need something that holds by itself on a bar (something like that: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41zhHipEuUL._SL500_AA300_.jpg)
two of these attached by a solid metal bar on which you have the screw to put on it your R1 :)

Vincèn, what size bar are you considering?
I made a device like this by purchasing a pipe cutter for the size of a bar I was using, removed that actual cutting blades and tapped a 1/4" Whitworth thread into the metal to fit a bit of 1/4" Whitworth so I could attach my camera or Nodal Ninja.
From your photograph it would seem possible to tap a 1/4" Whitworth into that device.
