What are your settings - that should atleast give me a starting point pretty close to where I need to be.

Brandon, You can easily find the correct settings yourself quite quickly. See http://www.johnhpanos.com/epcalib.htm.

John, I would like to thank you for putting focus on the "bright spot of the entrance pupil" method.
I first used that method after surfing your pages, and it is a good way of doing things. But since I am a creature of the night for the most time, I needed a bright spot that was "not there" at the time. But using a LED keychain light, taped against the viewfinder, and with it's button pressed, one can see the "bright spot" in every lightless and also heavily lighted environment.
Hopefully this little "trick" can help others.

Trausti, Good idea! In the absence of a bright window at night, I have sited the camera below a ceiling lamp, with a foil reflector taped to the camera back at 45° to direct light into the eyepiece. That works quite well too.

Thanks John, I'm waiting on my lens but will 100% use your tutorial to find the settings.
I can't wait to get shooting.
