Does anyone have the setting for the nodal point using a NN5L, t1i and 18mm (kit) lens, so I have somewhere to start?

I have found the bottom rail (11.5), as I could focus straight down on the nodal ninja icon.

Check your lower rail setting with this method: http://www.easypano.com/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=1&TopicID=4162
Imagine a blade of a circle saw. The short side of the teeth cut. Move to side where the "blade" show the short side = cutting side of the tooth.

You can find your settings in this database : http://wiki.panotools.org/Entrance_Pupil_Database.
For lower rail setting add 13mm to (H) for NN5, this is tested with my equipment. Might be 11-13mm.
For upper rail setting add (L1) and (L2) to get the setting at different zoom settings.
Check your personal combination, it might be different because a lot of reasons.
