Please adjust for the size of your sensor, e.g., 50mm on APS-C would select 100mm in the poll.

Pick the closest value to your actual focal length.

Please add other suggestions in the comments.

Perhaps two polls would be better: One for DX/APS-C and one for FX? Let me know and suggest focal lengths/ranges and I'll be happy to create a couple of new polls.

Happy Holidays to all.

I've been using a Nikon 20mm F/2.8D on APS-C (30mm equivalent), but have moved on to a full-frame D700 and am selling all my old lenses.

I've been considering the Nikon 12-24mm and something in the 100/105mm (Nikon 105mm F/2.8G VR or Zeiss ZF.2 100mm F/2 Macro-Planar). I've been thinking that the longer focal length might really help to pull distant panoramas in closer and provide a lot more detail. It'll take a lot more shots with such a narrow FoV, but storage is cheap these days, right?

it all depends on the resolution you want to achieve and the time you want to spend on photo taking and stitching.

Nick,

Of course. I'm just curious to hear how others like to shoot.

A couple of mistakes, I should have said 50mm on APS-C would be 75mm on FX, assuming a 1.5x crop. I believe Canons can be closer to 1.6x. And, it's the Nikon 14-24mm that I'm considering purchasing.
