I am seeing different reports of using the Nikon 10.5 with a D3

I realize the 10.5 is a DX lens but it seems some use it on a full frame - anyone have real experience of using this combo and if you'd recommend it for 360 x 180 panos?

Hi,

using the D3 i would prefer to use the 16mm/f2.8 fisheye lens. Without cutting off the lens shade of the 10.5 mm lens, which gives you 3 shots with 120? plus 2 for Z /N, you as well have to take 6 shots similar to the 16mm lens.

May be you can try to lend the lenses for testing.

The upper rail set for the 16mm is 68. You might use the 14-24mm/F2.8 at zoom 16 as well, 45? with 8 shots in 2 rows for spherical plus Z/N.

you can remove the hood of 10.5mm to utilize its full potential on D3.
